Need some help with challenge framing . . . board I call on you

Okay ladies . . . so I know that I have been non-committal on my challenge and in my head I have kept going back to trying 30 new recipes by Turkey day but Johanna is right . . . it is a lot of recipes and additionally the majority of those recipes would be for a single serving and basically I have decided that it is a good concept but trying to deliver on it when I would only make 1 serving, remember the whole hate leftover thingy, is not a challenge I am willing to take right now. So now I have started to think that maybe my challenge should be to make some overall health changes . . . as you all know I did Weight Watchers and lost the 12-15 lbs that I had been carrying around for the last 6 or so years - ever since I thought you could eat a Chipotle burrito a day if you were training for a marathon, even though you only averaged about 4 to 5 miles most days of the week, uh that does not even counteract the rice in the burrito . . . okay well enough about that but I made Lifetime at WW about a year ago and I have been extremely committed to eating well about 85-90% and allowing the remaining for indulgences BUT lately my tummy has been acting up and it seems like the worse I feel the worse I eat or is the worse I eat the worse I feel, either way it is a vicious cycle . . . and though gaining the weight back is a concern (have already put on 4 lbs) right now I just feel awful and need to do something about it. So the issue with this is that I am not sure what the challenge should be . . . is it stick to my WW points and get in all the 8 GHG (Good Health Guidelines) each day for 30 consecutive days? is it eat well 90% of the time for 30 consecutive days? Is it only have 30 indulgences between now and Turkey day? Is it something else? Additionally, I also need to think about getting more sleep. I know that it is not fair for the lady with no husband (during the week), no kids, and no crazy work deadlines to complain about not getting enough sleep and wanting to take it on as a challenge but I am starting to feel the pain . . . so is it get 7+ or 8+ hours of sleep 30 times before Turkey day. Help a sister out :)

Hope everyone is starting to finalize their challenge and is beginning to define a game plan for succeeding. I really like the blog.

Kelly what's stressing you out that you can control right now? Is the food thing REALLY bothering you, or would you be better served writing the notes to your loved ones like you mentioned in your earlier post? Or do you need to relax more? Maybe you should stretch for 10 minutes 30 times. Do something nice for yourself 30 times. What's the one thing you could do that would make a big impact in your life that you just aren't doing now?

So my thoughts are doing the thing that is hard for you to do - I know that the food thing would be a piece of cake for you. I love the idea of getting more sleep. That one I think will be more of a challenge for you. You never know it may help your stomach issues too!

Just my opinion! D.
