Day 1 Success

Blogger: Dori

1 yoga class down, 29 to go! I made it to the noon class today and it was great. We were focusing on how your body reacts to holding poses for longer periods of time. I had a really hard time with it - my mind kept wandering to the things I should be doing, going to do, what the lunatic guy beside me was doing, the other dude blowing his nose, etc.... Just forcing myself to "be present" was a really good exercise for me. I tried not to get frustrated with not being able to get into side crow or for barely being able to hold crow. I am certain that I will have so many breakthroughs over the next 2 months.

What has made me the most excited is everyone else who has joined in the challenge. My mom is walking 30 hours, my sister is coming out of running retirement, my aunt Barb is walking 30 times, and my mother in law is walking. So great! My aunt called it the "Oprah effect" - HULARIOUS!

Now I am going to try and avoid the stupid TV tonight - which shouldn't be too hard since Geoff is likely going to be watchign Monday night football.

Good luck tomorrow ladies!
